Move over Pharrell… Vanessa Hudgens attempts to win the celebrity world’s biggest hat competition in an enormous fedora!
Vanessa Hudgens certainly never has to worry about getting sunburnt. The 25-year-old star set a new standard for giant hats in West Hollywood, California, on Friday. While this year has been all about oversized chapeaus, the High School Musical star was even giving trend starter Pharrell Williams a run for his money in an enormous black fedora.
Unlike Pharrell’s Vivienne Westwood hat that gave him almost an extra foot in height, Vanessa’s featured a normal top but an exaggerated brim that was wider than the actress herself. Peering up from underneath, the slight star was dwarfed by her giant headwear choice. Stopping in at the Andaz hotel for the celebrity-loved pre-awards show gifting suit by Kari Feinstein, Vanessa wore a summery ensemble with a vintage feel.
Besides her unmissable hat, the Spring Breakers star donned a high waisted long black skirt with pink flowers on it and a cropped knitted top that showed off her hard worked for flat stomach. The Pilates enthusiast accessorised the look with black leather and wood platform shoes, a black handbag and long plum coloured talons, which she had done the day before at Laque Nail Bar. While she could have got away without doing her hair considering her hat was so big, Vanessa wore her ombre locks – which have been cut in Hollywood’s current IT style of a long bob – out and flowing in small beachy waves.
Gift time: After showing off her hat on the red carpet, the star made sure to stop by all the gifting stations to hear about the wonderful goodies she was going to take home
