Men’s Fashion At 87th Academy Awards: ‘Whiplash’ Actor J.K. Simmons Dons A Hat, Walks Away With The Best Supporting Actor Award.

It was not only the ladies who hogged the limelight at the 87th Academy Awards. The Hollywood men also contributed to the fashion buzz and made the heads turn this time. They looked dapper in sleek suits and ties and some arrived sporting trimmed beards. It was seen that the men were wearing brooches studded with diamonds or a big stone on the tux. This piece of accessory enhanced men’s look at the 2015 Oscars red carpet.

Actor J.K. Simmons, who won the Academy Award for his role in “Whiplash,” arrived at the red carpet  with his wife. The actor wore a black tux and a black fedora hat. He added a dark blue handkerchief to match his wife’s blue gown. He bagged the best supporting actor award for his performance as an abusive jazz teacher in “Whiplash.”

The host of the night Neil Patrick Harris wore a custom Brunello Cucinelli tuxedo and tie and custom Hamilton shirt. Harris’ partner David Burtka was seen in a Calvin Klein Collection tuxedo, custom Hamilton shirt. Jared Leto arrived at the red carpet donning custom baby blue Givenchy ensemble while “The Imitation Game” actor Benedict Cumberbatch looked dapper in a white suit. Eddie Redmayne, the “Theory of Everything” actor who won the best actor award, made everyone swoon as he appeared in a midnight blue Alexander McQueen suit, with a bow tie. The ravishing Miles Teller made an entry on the red carpet sporting a navy black lapel blazer.

“Selma” actor David Oyelowo, who played Martin Luther King Jr., wore a deep red Dolce & Gabbana suit with a bow tie and was also seen wearing a Ebola ribbon. Common was dressed in a sleek black velvet tuxedo by Prada and paired it with a floral diamond brooch, while Kevin Hart was seen in a white Lanvin tux with a safety-pin-like brooch. Leto, who at one point was seen carrying a black umbrella, paired his outfit with a Fred Leighton brooch, Terrence Howard paired his D&G outfit and Bulgari watch with a large stone brooch while Questlove wore a bold, graphic, red heart-shaped brooch.
